The People

Your Murugo Bay Host, Arsene!

From arrival to departure, Arsene is here to make sure everything runs smoothly — and that you feel right at home at Murugo Bay.

Arsene grew up just down the road from Murugo Bay and knows the area well. During your time here, he’ll be your main point of contact, available to assist with anything you need or simply share a conversation along the way.

The Murugo Bay Team

At Murugo Bay, our small but mighty team is the heart of everything we do. We’re a close-knit group, here to make sure your stay feels as relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming as possible.

Our team includes our dedicated gardeners, friendly and reliable security guards, and our wonderful cleaner who keeps everything fresh and cozy.

You might not see all of us every day, but we’re always working behind the scenes to make your time here special. Don’t hesitate to say hello — we love getting to know our guests!

Partners and Contributors

Murugo Bay has been shaped by many hands, minds, and hearts. From the earliest ideas to the ongoing evolution of the space, it exists thanks to the care, creativity, and collaboration of a wide range of contributors.

Design: Thoughtful architects, engineers, designers, artists, and landscapers have contributed to the design and construction of Murugo Bay. Their work has helped shape a space rooted in intention and connection. More about these contributors can be found in Design section of the website.

Photography: The photographs featured throughout this site reflect the spirit of Murugo Bay, thanks to the talented work of Pamela Tulizo, Naomi Cousins, Jules Toulet, and Nath Neema.

Logo: Our logo was designed by Justin Kasereka, echoing the imigongo-inspired geometry found throughout the architecture and design of Murugo Bay.

Community Engagement: The ideas and input of community members in Kabushongo, where Murugo Bay is situated, have played an important role in shaping what Murugo Bay is and how it continues to grow. Through informal conversations and organized gatherings, these perspectives helped guide the project in meaningful ways. Special thanks go to Jean de Dieu Nduwayezu, the Community Lead, who supported and facilitated many of these conversations.
