‘Murugo’ means ‘home’ in Kinyarwanda. To us, the idea of ‘home’ is not a physical location but a feeling. A feeling of belongingness, connectedness, community, acceptance, safety, comfort, peace, and ultimately: a feeling of love. Our dream is that when you visit Murugo Bay you will feel this sense of being at ‘home’, even if you have travelled miles away from the place you normally call ‘home’ to be here.
